Hyde Park Rock

Written by  Melina T.

65,000 people assembled at Hyde Park in London on 6th and 13th July for an all-day concert headlining the Rolling Stones. The sun was shining on the crowds and the giant set-piece oak trees engulfing screens and stage. The fans, incensed, sung and danced to the rhythms of the band's classics, delivered with as much gusto from the 70-year-old musicians as they were in their first Hyde Park concert 44 years ago; the Stones cast their magic spell once again. The day-long event came to a close with encores of You Can't Always Get What You Want and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.

The Stones have just announced that nineteen songs from their live Hyde Park gigs are available on iTunes for the next four weeks.
