The 23-year-old newcomer to the music scene, Irene Skylakaki, is fast becoming the next big thing. A Greek studying Law in London, in between lectures she writes music inspired by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Johnny Flynn and Mumford and Sons. Her lyrics are in English and her fans in Greece and abroad are piling up. Irene released her first album, Wrong Direction, in September 2012 and the song In the Light shot up on Greek radio and on YouTube. She is already putting together her second album, which she hopes to complete by Christmas. Irene is performing live tonight, Thursday 25th July 2013, in the gardens of Megaron, The Athens Concert Hall. Her album Wrong Direction is available on iTunes.
